The geographical area is included, which is bordered by the west coast of the Gulf of Gera and the east of the Gulf of Kalloni. Our starting point is again the city of Mytilene, with the difference that we choose the eastern exit of the city. The road spreads through an olive grove area, while the first crossroads to the west of the highway leads us to the small settlements of Alyfanta, Pyrgi and Kedro.
Reorienting again on the main road, our route continues in parallel to the Gulf of Gera. It is a route with dominant colors the green of the olive groves and the blue of the sea.
Typical are the facilities of the thermal springs “Therma Geras” located in a seaside location, as well as down to the west of the route, the old industrial buildings built in the 18th and 19th century (olive mills, warehouses), a period when the area experienced days of economic prosperity. Going down to the west coast of the Gulf we meet picturesque villages and coastal settlements: Dipi, Pigadakia, Kato Tritos, Mychos, Paleokipos, Plakados, Perama.
The main road, then, from Plakados leads to Papados, while a little further down we meet Mesagros and Skopelos, equally picturesque mountain villages. The main road from Papados continues through a mountain route.
The road to the south leads us to the coastal area of Tarti, while the main road to Plomari leads us to the mountain villages of Trygona and Plagia built amphitheatrically in olive groves. Then after a route through a pine forest, moving south to the bypass road, we approach the magnificent beach of Agios Isidoros. Returning again to the main road and moving through an amazing feast of rich tree vegetation and waters we end west to the town of Plomari, with strong traditional elements and natural beauties.
About 10km. higher than Plomari is Megalochori, while an equally interesting settlement of the wider area is the mountainous Paleochori. To the west the beach of Melinda is suitable for swimming. Returning to Paleochori and continuing to the NE. our road leads to the mountain village of Akrasi, from where there is access to the south to the small village of Drota and a little further south to the beach of Panagia Kryfti.
Returning to Akrasi we continue our journey to the north. The crossroads to the south leads us to the villages of Ampeliko, Stavros and Kato Stavros successively, until we approach Vatera, a seaside tourist resort of amazing beauty, which has one of the largest and cleanest sandy beaches in the Mediterranean. Continuing from the main artery of Vatera, we pass to the north the village of Vrisa, while continuing, always on the main road, we meet the thermal springs of the Municipality of Polichnitos and shortly after the town of Polichnitos, also an important resort of the area. At a distance of 4 km NW. we end up in Skala Polichnitou with the picturesque port and many fish taverns. The same road to the west leads us to the seaside area of Nyfida.
Returning to Polichnitos and following the main road to the east, we approach the village of Lisvori, while a secondary road leads us to the Thermopiges of Lisvori, to the fishing village of Skamoudi and to Alykes in the area respectively. Continuing from Lisvori, the main road leads us to the village of Vasilika, while between Vasilika and Polichnitos there is the Damandri Monastery. Following the main road from Vasilika and heading to the NW, we approach the area of Achladeri.
Returning again to the south main artery and moving east, through an uphill route on the slopes of Mount Olympus we drive to the town of Agiasos, one of the most picturesque towns on the island and with the core of the Holy Temple of Panagia Vrefokratousa. Descending from the slopes of Olympus we meet the location of Karini, with its huge plane trees and water springs, while continuing to the SE. we meet an intersection that leads us again via an uphill road to the mountain village of Asomatos. A little further down Keramia, the verdant location of Agioi Anargyroi and the villages of Ippios, Sykounta, complete our route.
